Hello, I'm Tarryn and I’m so glad you’re here!

When I founded Squiffle Tots, my dream was to create the kind of nursery school I would want for my own child, a place where children are genuinely known and celebrated every day. That dream continues to shape everything we do. As both the founder and owner, it has been my privilege to watch our little nursery school grow into the warm, welcoming community it is today. Every decision we make is guided by one simple goal: to create a place where children feel loved, safe, happy and valued, where they are inspired to flourish and, most importantly, free to enjoy the magic of childhood.

After several wonderful years living in England and Germany, I returned home to Zimbabwe and founded Squiffle Tots. During my time in England, I trained and successfully ran my own childminding business, gaining invaluable experience in caring for and nurturing young children. When I returned home, I knew I wanted to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of young children. That dream became Squiffle Tots, a place where children are loved, encouraged and given the confidence to learn, grow and thrive. It is a privilege to care for young children and to play a positive role in their early years. At Squiffle Tots, we never take that responsibility lightly.

We provide high-quality childcare in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment, guided by the principles of Early Years Education. As a home-away-from-home, we believe children learn best through play, exploration and meaningful experiences. Each day is thoughtfully planned with engaging activities that inspire curiosity, creativity and independence, both indoors and outdoors in our wonderful play spaces. Throughout the year, we also enjoy outings that broaden children’s experiences and create lasting memories.

We believe childhood should be filled with wonder, laughter, muddy hands, curious minds and the freedom to learn through play.

While fun is at the heart of everything we do, we also encourage kindness, respect and good manners, providing gentle guidance and consistent boundaries that help children develop confidence, resilience and consideration for others.

We are passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle by providing a nutritious mid-morning snack, encouraging active play every day, and working alongside parents to support healthy lunch choices.
